Do you know which kind of Air transportation mode is the fastest and has the guarantee in time?

- Aug 17, 2018-

In air freight inquiry, competitive price and good service are always customer care most, while the good service always related to the cargo flying punctuality. There are four key points decide the air services: flying route, flights frequency, loading capacity, distance. How could these factors affects the whole service? We are hereby analyze below:

l  Non-Stop flights:

Refers to the flight does not stop in the halfway and can reach the final destination directly. Up to 2017, A 18 hours continuous flying have been recorded as the longest flying hours in the world. Therefore, the entire flying way of direct flight will not exceed this record. If you choose a direct flight, please tell your customer directly that the total transit time of the cargo is one day. if you choose a direct flight schedule.then you can calculate out an accurate transportation time, Of course, the scheduled flying hours we said is calculated from the actual taking-off time to landing time. If we start to count according to the planned departure time, all flights will be flying more hours than scheduled, as you know flight delays in every airport are very common nowadays.

 l  Stopping flights:

Refers to the flight stops in one place to refuel or load and unload passengers or more cargoes. International flights will normally stop 45 minutes to 2 hours in one airport,If it is full cargo flight,it may stop 12 hours, as full cargo flight has much bigger capacity than the passenger + cargo flight, the loading and unloading cargo takes longer time than passenger flight. When we calculating flight hours we normally calculate the on board flying house plus stopping hours in transit together.

l  Transfer mode:

Refers to the cargo from departure to arrival will go through one or more transportation modes (it can be flight or truck) then arrive to the final destination. It also means that the cargo can be transferred from point A. B. C. when it arrive to each transit the cargo will be re-loaded or unload to a new transport model and then deliver to the final destination ( if the cargo is not unload to a new model but only stopped in one station, please refer to the mean of stopping, not means transfer). here we hereby emphasize that air freight is not only means the whole way by flight transfer; air freight also means the whole way multi mode transfer ways, like air + truck combination transportation services.

l  Relationship between transit and flight frequency

there are two flights available between A-B-D and B-D, X frequency is daily, and Y frequency   is 2 / 6 per week, assuming A-B is weekly, point B -D, then point B -D, If you choose Flight   X, you can catch Wednesday's flight as soon as possible, and if you choose Flight Y, you can   only catch a flight to D on Saturday, leaving the same cargo with a three day difference in   the final transit time because of the flight you chose. The same is true of changing planes   into trucks. The frequency of flights can be seen to affect the time of cargo transportation.

l  The relationship between transit and capacity load

When we talk about the relationship between transit and flight frequency, we always assume that we can catch up the booked latest flight, but the reality is that the capacity available for the most recent flight is always fulled booked,Only when open space is in available flights, the same flight way can be carried out as we scheduled.if there is a shortage of booking capacity, you can only catch the next related flight. In this way, the arrival time of the two flights is normally three days difference between.

l  Transit and distance relationship

Usually the transit is more obviously influenced when the transit mode is by truck,if it is flight transfer, no matter how far the two points distance they are, time will be enough within in one day, so won’t cause much delay in transit by flight.

However, if it is a truck, because the truck has a limited speed in most European and Western countries, the longer the distance, the longer time it will take, the limited speed for foreign trucks are 80KM/hour, generally not more than 8 hours driving in one day, you can probably run 640Km per day, so the influence by distance in transit is not that much attention.
